It sounds like the potty training is going great. Yippee!

My lock the kid in the car story is great and it was completely my fault. Don't feel bad it happens to the best of mothers. So Elisabeth was a baby and that is the only kid I had except for Hogan who was still in my tummy. I had sold some stuff on ebay and needed to go into the post office to mail it. Well the post office here is always crazy and I had packages and Elisabeth had fallen asleep in her car seat. I really didn't have enough hands to take all of that stuff in so I thought I would leave the car running with her in it but make sure it was locked up really good. I could see the car perfectly from the line at the post office and if anyone were to go near my car I would just run out there. Well I just so happened to be driving my moms car because mine was getting worked on from our street flooding. My moms car was old enought that it didn't have a key fob. It just had two keys. A square key for the engine and doors and a circle key for the trunk only. I thought that the square key was for the engine and the circle key was for the doors and the trunk. So I left the car running and took the circle key off the key ring thinking it would get my in the doors as soon as I finished my business in the post office. I did what I needed to do in the post office. It was really quick and then went out to the car to get in. I put the circle key in and no luck it would not open. I paniced. I called my mom to see if she could have my dad bring me the spare keys. She said she would so I began to wait. I could see Elisabeth and she was sound asleep and cool so I didn't worry too much. However, after a few minutes, pop a lock shows up and says did someone here lock a baby in a car. I was scared to death that I would get in trouble so I acted like I had no idea what he was talking about (thinking my dad would be here any minute). So I called my mom again and she said my dad couldn't come after all and that she had called pop a lock. I had to run and chase down the guy and tell him it was me. So embarrassing!!! In the end I found out that pop a lock will open your car free if you lock a child in there. I have never done that again because it scared my to death. I just knew they were going to take her away from me.

Hi! I came over to your blog from annalees! I had to see after you comment about your story! That is too funny! although I'm sure it wasn't so funny in the pouring rain. I especially like the part about how you were trying not to act like you locked your child in your car in front of other people! I don't have kids but I could sooo see that happening to me! :)
