Christmas day at BeBop and PopPop's House

Mom and Dad came to our house to watch the boys get their gifts from Santa,
and then we all headed to BeBop and PopPop's house.
It started with a great big breakfast...
and then presents!

BeBop and Pop Pop got the boys some awesome gifts...
we are so thankful for BeBop and Pop Pop!

Uncle Taylor and Aunt Audrey had some gifts from their trip to Japan

Mom's stocking for the boys...as you can see they are almost as big as the boys.

Secret Agent Sam
Mom always finds the best gifts!
You can see behind you in those glasses

Every year we play this game, not sure what it is called.
You roll two dice. When you roll doubles,
you put on gloves and a hat and try to open the present.
But everyone else is trying to roll doubles so they can steal the present from you.
Whoever is the last to get the present open gets to keep it.
The present is usually wrapped in 5 or more boxes.
And whoever wins brings the giftcard or present the next year.
Wes has won 3 years in a row!

It is a fun tradition, especially because we keep winning!
Mom made a great Christmas meal of prime rib, potatoes, green beans, and rolls.
With an apple cake with ice cream or pumpkin pie cheese cake for dessert!
Mom always out does herself on Christmas. It was a great day!
Thanks BeBop and Pop Pop!
We love you!

Hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas too!
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from the Fikes Family!
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
We had a wonderful day!

It all started with Santa...

Micah got a kitchen

and Sam got a McQueen bike!
(don't know why my pictures won't turn)

Stockings...Santa forgot to eat his milk and cookies.
Don't worry, they were gone before the boys woke up!

Here comes the boys!

Sam was so excited about his bike,

and we couldn't get Micah to open any presents,
because he just wanted to play with his kitchen!

Opening their stockings

Micah got an apron and chef's hat that said,
Micah
Future Chef

Is that not the cutest thing ever?

He left his apron and hat on the whole time!

Sam opening his Batman Cave

It was a wonderful Christmas morning...off to BeBop's house!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is when all our traditons start...just thought I would share a few.

Sir came in town and spend the whole week with us!
We were so happy to have him and glad he was with us for the holidays.
Micah is Sir's little buddy!

Every year we go out to eat on Christmas Eve with my family.
Here we are all dressed up for dinner.

Sir reading to Micah before we left

We went to Babin's this year. We usually go somewhere different every year.
Santa was at Babin's this year! Micah was so excited to see him.
As soon as he walked into the room, Micah stood in his chair and
yelled "Here I am Santa, I am over here! "
He didn't sit down until after Santa had come to see him.

Sam telling Santa that he wanted something totally different
than what he wanted on his list...oops!

BeBop with her bread pudding dessert!

I love my boys!

Cookies for Santa

Santa needed milk and juice this year

The boys wanted to eat one of Santa's cookies.
Micah took a bite of every one!

The children are all nestled and snug in their beds...
time for Santa to come!

Santa

If you have kiddos, this is a great video that you can personalize for them. Santa will say their names and show a picture of them in his book. It is really neat! My boys LOVED it...Sam got so excited! Here is the link http://portablenorthpole.tv/ Have fun and Merry Christmas!

Christmas Traditions

Today we went to BeBop's house to decorate cookies and make our gingerbread house.
Aunt Audrey and Uncle Taylor were there, so this year was extra special.

We started with the gingerbread house...but it had to dry for a while

so we moved on to the cookies.

This year we were only making cookies for Santa,
so they boys did everything.

They loved it!

Breaking the candy canes for peppermint bark

Finishing the gingerbread house

Micah wanted to eat the candy instead of decorating

The final product...they did a great job!

It was a fun day!
