Back to Swimming

Our neighborhood pool is open on the weekends until summer starts and the boys could hardly wait to get there and swim today. It didn't take them long to get right back into the swing of swimming. It took Micah a little while to start putting his head under, but Sam was ready! They played in the baby pool to get started and then we moved to the big pool. Sam was jumping off the side to me within minutes! So excited about going to the pool this year because I might get to read my book while they play in the baby pool! I can actually relax!

Sam did not want me to take pictures of him...

Micah found this Ken doll, which he named Micah James,
and played with it the whole time we were at the pool.

It was so fun to see how much they had grown since last summer.
Sam was so excited that he could touch the last step in the big pool this year.
Can't wait for more days at the pool!

Captain

Sam was captain of his soccer team today!
And he was so excited!!!
Sam has been a little unsure about soccer lately, so this helped today.
And yes, we had a game on Sunday...but only because it was pouring yesterday.

Sam has also decided that he ONLY wants to play goalie.
When it is his turn to play in the field, he just wants to sit out.
Since he was captain today, the coach let him be goalie 3 times...
not sure if that will get to happen again next week.
Here is his sweet Daddy supporting him while he is goalie.

Not sure what he is doing in this picture

Telling the coach that he is doing a great job being goalie

We are so proud of our little soccer player! GO SAM!!!

1st Swim of 2010

It is hard to believe that some people are still getting snow,
when it has been in the 90's here in Houston.
We decided it was time to break out the pool.

Daddy joined in the fun as soon as he got off work...such a GREAT Daddy!

Can't wait for the big pool to open!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!
I had a wonderful Mother's Day! My boys spoiled me the whole day!
First Wes let me sleep in until 8:30 and then take a long shower.
When I came out, the boys had made my some yummy french toast and
I had all these wonderful gifts. Flowers, cards, and a gift card for an hour and a half massage!

Sam picked out all the flowers. When they went to the store to get them, Sam came home and said "Mom, we only got groceries...NO FLOWERS...just groceries!"

This is what Sam made me at school. It has his fingerprints all over it.
I just LOVE it!!!

And this is what Micah made. I wore it to church and Micah was so proud!
Isn't it so cute? I love getting gifts they made!

Here is my card from Sam:
These are the questions that Sam answered about me:
What do you like to do with your Mom?
Play
What do you like your Mom to cook for you?
Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich and Cheese

What do you NOT like your Mom to cook for you?
Pasta
What makes your Mom happy?
When I hug and kiss her
What makes your Mom sad?
When I'm not with her
What does your Mom want to be when she grows up?
She does not want to be anything. She's a mom!
Why do you love your Mom?
Because she loves me even when she is mad

I just loved reading his answers...so precious!

I just love my guys!
And my fantastic husband!!! I am so blessed!
He even cleaned my car, inside and out!
We ended up going to end at Babin's...yummy!!!

Here is the BEST Mom in the world! She is my best friend and
I hope that I can be just like her! I love you SO much Mom!

BeBop and the boys

And the reason that I love being a Mom!
I couldn't ask for more!

Hope you had a great Mother's Day too!
