Last week was a pretty long week for the Fikes boys. Monday it was beautiful weather the high was 75 and I was thinking it is going to be the perfect day to play outside...but the boys had been running a fever and complaining about the inside of their necks hurting. So to the doctor we went on Monday morning. We found out that they had strep throat...bummer! It ended up being okay since we knew that the weather was about to get really cold! And for Houston it was super cold! By Tuesday night it was in the teens...which doesn't happen in Houston very often. So spent lots of time playing and watching movies. I think we had a movie night every night since Daddy was working evening shift.
I just love when the boys want to lay together...they are best buds!
We ate lots of popcorn and tried to make memories together!
On Friday the weatherman said that our area would be getting 2-4 inches of snow. This is a LOT of snow for us! In all the years we have lived here we have never had 4 inches of snow. We were all thinking this was really going to happen since we had been below freezing for several days.

Playing Dino Dan on the computer. Sam has a new found interest in dinosaurs. He LOVES them!!! He wants everything dino! He will only wear dino pjs and now he wants a dinosaur bedroom. Wes found this website that goes with his favorite show, Dino Dan. They were having fun getting to play on the computer.
But when Friday came...NO SNOW! The boys cried when they woke up Friday morning to no snow. It was so sad! Next time I don't think I will be telling them about the possibility of snow...I will just let them be surprised!
So, instead of snow...we got ice! Lots of ice!
We are so happy to see the sun out today and have a chance to be outside!
